Four former members of popular Altoona-based hard-hitters Saucemonster are getting back together in a new band project called Hexhed. According to their band page on Rockpage.net, singer/guitarist Steve “Dig” Danfelt, lead guitarist Chris Silva, bassist Greg Hatch and drummer Rob Bonsell are reuniting to “finally destroy what hearing (they) didn't lose the first time around.” Hexhed will make their official debut at City Limits in Altoona on Nov. 5, and will return to that venue a week later as part of the annual Toys for Tots Benefit Concert sponsored by City Limits, Pennsylvania Musician Magazine and Q94.
Following their recent drummer change, which saw Kevin Siegel leaving the band and Kyle Kovach taking over behind the kit, local jam rock favorites Gin & Juice have decided to change their name as well. The group’s new monicker is Plasma.
Dubois heavy rockers Sever are again in search of a new bass player, following the departure of Matt Craig from the band due to creative differences. Sever has canceled all of their shows while they create new music and seek the missing pieces to their band puzzle.
