In Local Music News.
An effort is being organized through local music website Rockpage to send some appreciation and inspiration to some of our local men and women serving in the Armed Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The initiative is called Rock For The Troops, and the project will involve shooting video and photos of area bands and audiences performing and sending greetings and support to the troops. This footage will be compiled into DVD's and picture CD's to be sent to local Armed Forces units serving overseas. The effort is still being organized and fine-tuned; for more information about the effort, you can check out the discussion thread about Rock For The Troops on Rockpage, www.rockpage.net.
