Another Harrisburg-based band has also disbanded. Booty Camp, a band that spun off of the former Lovestomp, announced that they were calling it quits after their bass player left to join another offshoot from Lovestomp, the band Stomp'd.
Speaking of Stomp'd, that group experienced a wedding this past weekend, as singer Amy Jo Hurricane and guitarist Willy G tied the knot this past Saturday. The two also are expecting a child. Willy G is a former Johnstown resident.
Wedding bells are also in the near future for the band Beyond Reason. Bassist Jamie Smith and the group's stage and beer tech, Lisa Myers, will walk the aisle on May 12. The "Backyard Rocker" sends its congratulations.
On May 12, Altoona's Railroaders Memorial Museum will be hosting a folk and bluegrass festival. The festival starts at 10 AM, and will feature performances from the King Cotton Rounders, Oak & Ivy, Jean Roman, Mama Corn and more. Tickets are $10, and can be purchased at the Railroaders Museum or at Custom Guitar Works in Greenwood.
Blue Number Nine, Summit City Saints, Your Dad's Friends, Full Kilt, Jay Smar, Jerry Haines, the Michael O'Brian Band, Three Generations on Strings, Anthony Stauffer and Holy Smoke and The Banjo Man are just some of the performers will be part of this year's Blair County Arts Festival.
