Bands and performers involved in this year’s event include Skell, Solegion, The Alluminati, Daggermouth, Ill-Fated, After The Fall, The Divide from New York City, Altered Ending from Akron, Emma Rankin from New Zealand and more. One of the region’s most popular bands is stepping aside from the live stage. The band Til December (formerly Backstreet Law) has decided to disband indefinitely. In a mutual and very amicable agreement between the members, the band has come to the conclusion that after many years of constant touring, everyone is in need of a break. Although the band has not totally ruled out regrouping for future shows or recordings, it is definite that Til December's final performances will happen in August and September.
The Harrisburg-based party band Cheez has reformed with a new lineup, which features a few names that should be familiar to local music fans. Joining lone founding member Joey G on bass is former Wiskerbisket singer/guitarist Doug Snook, and Altoona native and former Something Fluid drummer Len Lechene. The new Cheez line-up will begin playing out in October, and has a number of shows already lined up in the Q94 listening area.
In band personnel moves, the Wheeling/Pittsburgh-based band Dofka has found a new lead singer, Andrew D’Cagna. The group is also working on a new EP called Humanity Bleak, which should be available soon.
