As reported last week, a special benefit show is being organized in northeastern Pennsylvania later this month to help out former and founding Poptart Monkeys guitarist/member Dave Danishefsky. Dave was seriously injured in a March automobile accident near Hazleton, and faces a long road to recovery and mounting medical and other bills. The benefit to help Dave will happen on Sunday, May 18 at the Ramada Inn in Hazleton, and will feature a number of bands, including Rise Phoenix Rise, Shoot the Moon, Kartune, Flaxy Morgan and more. More details about this benefit will be announced shortly.
On Sunday, June 8, Dougie D’s Little Helpers will present a benefit show at the Pinecroft Firehall, with proceeds to help out needy families this coming holiday season.
