Halloween's upon us....and with all the dreary weather we've been having....there's nothing like a cold one, some munchies...and a great horror flick or two. What do you consider the best horror flick of all time? Could it be the "Exorcist"? The "Omen" series? How about "Nightmare on Elm Street", or the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"? To me....the best horror flick doesn't need to have lots 'o blood and guts....sometimes the suspense is more powerful than seeing body parts fly. One of my favorite movies....not necessarily the best horror flick ever is "The Shining". Jack Nickolson is such an amazing actor....watching him slowly go insane! And how many of us would like to go into that massive hedge maze? Of course...it wouldn't be Halloween without some of the staples with Bela Lagosi, Boris Karlof, Lon Chaney, Vincent Price and Christopher Lee. So....what movie makes you jump or makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck? Oh yeah...and why in all the "slasher films" does the girl always fall down? Can't they come up with something more original? Love to hear from you! Rose

I have an odd horror flick that always sticks out in my mind, an old black-and-whitey...What Ever Happened to Baby Jane, where Betty Davis imprisons a crippled Joan Crawford in the attic and feeds her pet parakeet to her and does other cruel stuff.
Otherwise, I've always been a big Vincent Price fan (no relation); his Dr Phibes movies are all classics!

How could I forget that movie! You're right...it really does give you the "willies"! Vincent Price is a favorite also....but what about Alfred Hitchcock? His movies were great too! Do you ever watch any of those "cheeseball" movies? You know...the ones that are so bad....they're good...or at least good for a laugh? Let's see...."Attack of the Killer Tomatoes","Attack of the 50 foot Woman", "Attack of the Tree Stump", and who can forget "The Blob"? Can you think of any more? Later! Rose

I grew up watching "Uncle Ted's Ghoul School", on a Friday night...a bad Magician who would "host" horror flicks..."B" ones...the old Vampire/Dracula ones included. I wish I could recall the titles of some of those flicks from "Uncle Ted". Some mainstream favs include "Halloween" - the ORIGINAL one, "Psycho", "The Shining" and surprisingly, a Chuck Norris movie, "Silent Rage"...if you've seen it, you know why!

the best in my book is Nightmare on Elm Street. Started watching it 20 years ago and never finished it.
Vincent Price is all time favorite.
