Mother nature may have postponed some Halloween parades yesterday....but tomorrow's the day when the majority of kids in Central Pa will be out trick or treating.
When I go out and buy candy....I tend to get the "good stuff"..."M&M's", "Snickers", "Milky Way", "Blow Pops", "Smarties", well...you get my drift. The one candy I don't buy is "candy corn". It's the one candy I just don't care for....oh yeah...that and those orange "circus peanuts". How about you?
If you're like me...you tend to have a "secret stash" of candy put aside to enjoy later. But sometimes on my block I can get 100 kids or more...and I've had to dig into that stash to make sure no one goes away empty handed.
When I was living in Upstate New York....the kids would do their thing....and then on Halloween...(or the Saturday night around Halloween)...my friends and I would go out "drink or treating" at various taverns, and wind up at a house party. We always had designated drivers...and plenty of cash for cab fare. That's been our policy for years....cuz we didn't want anything to happen to any of "the gang". Man...Did we have some fun! Some of the costumes were outrageous!
Does anything like this happen in Central PA?
However you celebrate Halloween....have a safe and happy one!
See you on the radio!

here in VT I don't get only a handful of trick or treaters. Over buy on candy so we always have extras. I also buy the good stuff. Orange circus peanuts are only good for a real good sugar high.
