The recent decision to let Jim Price go due to cost cutting measures is a mistake. He is much more than a DJ, he's an Altoona institution. I'm afraid your listenership will dwindle considerably if he is no longer on the air. I for one will not listen to Q94 and I'm sure many of the musicians, friends and families in this area will follow suit. Please consider reinstating him. Thank you.

Yes, I'm right. You just don't realize it yet.

As a 15 year former radio veteran, it's always funny when a radio station lets an air personality go, citing "budgetary concerns". (The same thing happened to me.) Pay ownership and sales less, and quit trading so much, and maybe you'll make some money. Letting Jim Price go is going to cost you more than you realize. Once people realize that The Professor is gone, you'll feel it in the ratings. Goodnight, Q-94. Shut off the lights when you leave. Because you will.

Q 94 has been the standard FM setting for all the radio listening done by myself and my family. Today the dial has been changed. We grieve the loss of an area music icon. All our future listening will be done wherever the Professor is holding class. Apparently, your station no longer has any.

I agree completely with everything said above. I was already not able to listen to Q94 for awhile(since the format change on 94.7) except when I am closer to Altoona, but now even when I am able to will have to find another station to listen to.
I know "ad dollars" are supposed to be part of reason for the decision. Did it ever occur that ad dollars are more of a problem now with the format change since 94.3 doesnt even reach half of area that used to listen to 94.7?

ONE OF THE BEST THINGS THE Q DID. THE WORST WAS GETTING RID OF 947. ;D

I have been friends and a collegue of JP for almost 30 years...He has done a tremendous amount of community service and kept many people happy with his inovative ideas on Altoona Radio...I could tell, under the new ownership, that you guys destroyed the best classic rock station in central PA...I was very confussed by this as many other listeners were. I hope you are happy with your decision, because you have lost thousands of faithful listeners now. JP will continue on and kick your Q in the A...My family is no longer faithful listeners to your station....without JP....who cares.....
